Contests of all sorts for filmmakers, screenwriters, and other film/video people are multiplying at an almost logarithmic rate. Some offer large sums of money; some offer "glory", or "access", whatever they define those terms to be.
One new contest says, "If your script wins, we'll produce it. Period."
That's an interesting take on it.
When I know more, I'll post again on it.
